Book of the year

I'm going to keep this very brief.

I just finished reading:

I am pretty sure that it has officially blown my mind.

Have any of you out there read it?

Would any of you like to discuss it?
Because, if so, we could theoretically get a forum of sorts going in the comments section.

What is it about? Maybe I'll have to read it.

It's at the top 3 of my next-in-line to-read list. My sister-in-law read it recently and loved it. Wait a bit, and I'm sure I'll want to discuss it.
PS there are way too many dashes in this post.

I want to have a forum!

But, I haven't read it. Therefore we can' forumize very much.

I will read it immediately - hold the forum!

Mel- It's one of those books that on the surface is just a story, but underneath the story is a entirely different, deeper meaning. That's all I'm going to say. A word of caution though, the first section is a little bit dry, but it sets some necessary context. Just keep reading it and you'll be glad you did.

Fig, You don't have to read it immediately. Just read it ASAP!

I started reading it! I think I am still in the dry spot, but I could just be confused. I seem to feel that way reading it. :) Hopefully I will catch on to Martel's vision of the book.

Lacey, this is one of my favorite books of all time! I read it while I was in college because it won the Canadian version of the Pulitzer and the author is from Quebec. Such an amazing story of how our attitudes control our outlook on life. I can't recommend it enough. I especially love the story within the story, how the author makes the entire narrative feel like an interview with Pi Patel.
