Homecoming

My sink is piled full of dirty dishes, smelly diapers are thrown all over the house, I'm running on a few short hours of sleep, and I have no idea how I'm going to manage cooking an actual dinner EVER again. And I couldn't be more thrilled.

After four and a half long weeks in the NICU, Asher is finally home!!

And miracle of miracles, Riley seems to be really fond of the little guy and happy as he can be about the prospect of being a big brother. Who would have guessed it?

Do you want me to come do dishes? I'm not even kidding.

I'm so happy for you guys! Asher is so cute and I can't believe how much older Riley looks holding him.

I'm also on the list to help with dishes/making dinner!

I'm so happy you get to have him home. Don't worry, it gets easier. And that pic of Riley and Asher is too cute. Riley looks like such a big kid.

Man, you dish-doing volunteers are awesome. But, truth be told, my sink would probably be full of dishes even if I hadn't jut brought a new baby home. So don't worry about us!

P.S. You have The Kite Runner listed as one of your favorite books. What?

Hey Lacey. You probably didn't know we were reading about you this whole time. I'm so excited that your baby is home. I've been praying for you. We had twin boys via emergency c-section just a few days before you had asher so my heart has just been aching for you since you couldn't bring him home.Hope everything continues to go well. Yippee Skippee,

Can't believe he is home. You are great mommy, no worries about the poopy diapers, throw them in your back yard as fertilzer??? Eh??? The positive effects will probably be cancelled out by the non recyclable diaper matter. He is super cute and looks healthy as a horse, glad you got him home.

Congrats. I'm so glad to hear he is home and you have your family in one place again. What a relief. Sometimes you have to let the house go a little. Enjoy your time together. Best of luck with everything.

YEAH!!! I'm so happy for you. That is awesome. It is the hardest thing in the world having your baby in the NICU. I'm glad he is home and you get the new stress of no sleep with a new baby at home. Call me if you ever want to talk!!
