Riley and I have now returned from our month-long sojourn of vehicular togetherness. Over the past two and a half weeks, we have spent approximately 62 hours in a car together. First, we rode with my aunt to Utah for a week-long reunion at my Grandmas house (which Sam managed to
weasel out of coming to). Then, we were home for an entire three days before we packed up again and took a family vacation to South Padre Island.
ANd the best news of all??---we are doing the Utah trip one more time in just one short week for Lake Powell. Fun times, eh?
Anyway, here are a few pics from the family reunion. Stay tuned for the South Padre Island pics. I'll post them tomorrow (or whenever I get around to it).

On the way home, my aunt and my cousin decided we were going to stop off at one of the random
prairie dog towns you can buy your way into on the Great Plains. We paid $9 for admission, and our money bought us a chance to:
1- Step in lots of
prairie dog poo.
2-Feed the goats

3-Take a gander at the only living, six-legged cow in the world. I feel sorry for her, don't you? Look how she's hanging her head in shame.
"Stop looking at me already. I know I'm a freak, you know I'm a freak, why can't you people just leave me alone??"
4- See the biggest
prairie dog in the world. I hate to bust your bubble, but it's a statue.

And while I was muttering under my breath the whole time about the ridiculous admission prices, Riley seemed to be having quite the grand ol' time. And I guess that's all that matters.

Man, I love you.
When will we see eachother?? Does you trip to Utah include any time to visit me? And PS Riley is certainly the little man. A little looker.
Fun pictures! I'm so glad we got to spend some time together. Reunions are great. I can't really do it now, but I'll get you those pictures that I took sometime in the near future.
So cute. I'm glad you had a good time and you are back safely. Too bad we are not going to Lake Powell at the same time. We are going July 14-19. I'm very excited. Hopefully Brielle will do well.
Wow - sounds like you're having a terrific summer. Have fun on your next trip - I'll have to check in with you on your next stint "in town."
I feel bad for the cow, and it's really sad that you had to traipse around in poo, but seriously . . . who pays 9 bucks to see praire dogs?
Not me, under normal circumstances
Man...poor cow. What more can I say? You stopped to see a six legged cow and some prarie dogs? It's like living back home on the farm with horn in the head and big tit's. We should have shipped them off to the freak show and gotten filthy stinkin' rich charging people 9 bucks to oogle at there freakiness. Ah...a sigh for lost opportunities.
Lacey- you're too funny. I love summer- hoorah for summer vacations!
Wow- that's a lot of driving... we are going to CA next month and were contemplating driving but opted against it. I would be so ANGRY the whole time if we did. I'm impressed you've survived and are up for more! So, the prairie dog stop is awesome. I don't think any family vacation would be complete without a stop to see the world's largest something... And ya, I do feel sorry for the six legged cow!
