I realized today that I haven't yet made the official announcement. And since I can no longer hide my pot belly, I figured now is probably a good time to make sure you've all heard the news: I'm getting fat. And also, I'm pregnant.
I'm three and a half months along and had my first doctor's appointment last week. Apparently, it takes a long time to get your medicaid case worker to answer your phone calls here in Oklahoma. I've discovered the secret though--On the 20th voice mail message you leave, burst into uncontrollable tears and mumble something about some sort of unfounded concerns you're having. Double bonus: your hysterical phone call may also qualify you for free psychiatric care!
Anyway, I'll probably find out if I'm having a boy or a girl at my next appointment in a few weeks. I'd be perfectly thrilled with either of the two, but must admit to having some hopes that baby number two will be slightly more mild-mannered than Riles.

Lacey!!! That is awesome! I am going to put a bet on you having another boy. It just seems to be how things are happening lately. Almost everyone I know is having a boy. :) Let us know as soon as you do. I am excited to find out.

Yay!! I'm so excited for you and Sam. I can't wait to find out whether it's a boy or girl. You know, I had also suspected you were pregnant by the lack of posts lately. But you're vindicated now-- no worries, and we understand. I hope you're not feeling too sick. I've actually known you were pregnant for a few weeks now, I think. Yea! Congrats you guys! That is very exciting- I hope your pregnancy is going well. I hear you with the medicaid stuff, I've had the WORST experiences with all that crap here in NYC. Makes me miss Bob, or Bill, whatever his name, in Provo.
