More Peas, Please

Up until Riley turned 1, he was a great little eater. Broccoli, peas, beans...it didn't matter. He'd eat it all. Then we let him have unlimited access to cake and ice cream at his first birthday party, and it all started to go downhill from there.
In this video, my sister Audra was trying to trick Riley into eating peas. She'd give him a bite of chocolate to trick him into thinking he was getting something good, and then try to sneak the peas down him. It didn't work very well.
We did finally figure out a real solution though. Now, we blend his vegetables up with a generous mix of some fruit so he can't really taste the green stuff. It works like a charm.

That's so funny! I have the exact same problem with Ben right now. He spits out everything, except fruit and the occasional treat. What are we going to do with these little boys??? I'll have to try this special concoction of fruit and veggies you speak of. I'm also impressed Riley uses a real bowl - that would be in a million little pieces on the floor at our house. Ben throws EVERYTHING off his tray and would probably throw the tray too if it wasn't attached. Does he have anger issues or something? I don't know, but he must get a pretty big kick out of things hitting the floor because he does it ten times a day at least!

I'm glad the mixing thing works for you... it didn't ever work for Kathryn!

Awww precious. He is a lot like Sam except Sam would gag and throw up anything that didn't taste good to him. I think I understand. I think Heavenly Father creates all these beautiful children so we don't get upset when they begin choosing what they want to do instead of what we want them to do!!
